Matcha Jelly

The video above shows how to make this recipe, if not I have also written it down here in this post. Please excuse me for the poor video quality as I'm not a professional nor do I have the professional tools to work with. Thank you for dropping by :)

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of Matcha (Green tea) powder
  • 2 teaspoons of unflavoured gelatine
  • 2 tablespoons of Sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • Shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions:

1. Boil the water.
2. Add 2-4 tablespoons of the boiled water to the gelatine.
3. Stir together until all the gelatine have dissolved.
4. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl for mixing (make sure the bowl is big enough to fit everything).
5. Add the sugar to the matcha powder.
6. Pour the remaining boiled water to the matcha powder.
7. Mix well until everything has dissolved.
8. Add the gelatine mixture to the matcha mixture.
9. Gently mix together.
10. Pour the jelly mixture into your moulds. (Silicone ones preferably)
11. Refrigerate for 4 hours. (This allows the gelatine to set and the jelly to firm up)
12. Run a clean toothpick along the edges of the jelly. Make sure you get around completely.
13. Turn the mould upside down and gently push it out. Don't rush this step or else you might break your jelly.
14. You can serve like this or top it with toppings like the shredded coconut I used in the video, or sweetened red bean paste. Anything you like!

Thanks for reading and Enjoy!
